The STIHL SEA 50 is a compact, battery wet/dry vacuum designed for powerful cleaning wherever you need it—at home, in your vehicle, or on the go. Its efficient EC motor delivers consistent suction throughout the entire AK‑System battery life.

Certified for dust class L, the SEA 50 easily handles fine dirt like plaster or sand, and its washable PET filter can be reused to reduce maintenance.

Designed for easy handling, it features a comfortable shoulder strap, large accessible on/off switch, and onboard storage for the universal nozzle, crevice tool, flexible hose, and extension tubes. With a 1.8 m hose, it reaches tight spaces, and an optional trolley adds even more mobility.

Battery and charger sold separately.

Constant Power

CONSTANT POWER, REGARDLESS OF BATTERY CHARGE STATUS. With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.

Accessory Storage

DIRECTLY READY FOR USE. Accessories for your high-pressure cleaner can be easily and practically stored on the power tool so that they are immediately to hand for use.

Class L Dust Extraction

FOR FILTERING FINE DUSTS. This wet and dry vacuum cleaner meets specific dust filtration requirements. Dust class L includes dusts such as lime and coarser wood dusts (limit values of >1 mg/m³), which often occur in the course of normal work in workshops.

Since the filter cartridge is water resistant – can I leave it in the vacuum for cleaning up dirty water?

Theoretically – yes. However, we do recommend to use the foam wet filter that comes with the SEA 50. It is easier to clean and dry.

Is the filter bag water resistant, too?

Yes, but: The filter material itself would not soften like paper does. The collar that forms the shape towards the stud inside where the filter bag will be attached to is made of carton. Humidity would not harm the filter bag, but we recommend to replace the filter bag, when it has become moist.

Are there special maintenance topics to consider?

Maintaining your SEA 50 is simple. If you are using the filter bags, and you feel the power is decreasing looking at the filter bag first is a good idea. Replace it, when it’s full. Note: Power decrease starts already before the filter bag is filled to the brim. Depending on the sort of dirt you are working on, you may have to replace it, before it’s completely filled (especially fine dust).

Should you prefer to work without filter bags, the filter cartridge would have to do the full job.  You can wash out our filter cartridges. However, very fine dust will stick to the filter material and a new cartridge becomes necessary. We recommend to use filter bags to take advantage of the 2-stage filtering for best filtration.

Other than that: make sure all air guiding parts are not clogged. You will find more information in the owner’s manual.

Can I use non - STIHL accessories?

The conical 36 mm connector is an industry standard. When the desired accessory has the same diameter, it will likely fit. Note: the operator is entirely responsible for the use of non – STIHL accessories, as STIHL has no influence on the interaction between the SEA 50 and the accessory.
