The BGA 60 is our most powerful battery blower in the AK System. It's ideal if you have a medium to large yard, as the blowing force can be increased easily using the trigger on the handle so you can clear large areas in no time. It even has a Boost mode to temporarily increase the power for tough clearing jobs. In Boost mode, the BGA 60's power is equivalent to our BG 86 gas leaf blower, making it ideal for moving wet leaves or heavier debris.
The BGA 60 is easy to use. It has an adjustable blower tube which can be extended by up to 16 cm without tools, which is great if you are tall as the nozzle can be adjusted closer to the ground. It has a useful eyelet on the back to hang the tool up when storing it and the end of the nozzle is protected by a metal ring, which prevents wear if the tube is accidentally bumped on the ground when clearing leaves.
Part of the AK System, the battery in the BGA 60 is interchangeable and can be used in other tools in the range, including grass trimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers and hedge trimmers.
Features
EXTENDABLE BLOWER TUBE
The length of the blower tube can be easily adjusted in 3 stages to suit your height, so you have better control over the direction of the blowing force.
SUITABLE FOR RIGHT OR LEFT-HANDED USE
All the controls and the safety locking lever are within easy reach on the handle, which makes it easy for you to use whether you are right or left-handed.
NEUTRAL LOCKING POSITION
There are two positions for the battery - in the first neutral position, the battery is secured in the machine but is not connected to the contacts. This means you can carry the battery around easily without accidentally starting the blower. In the second position, the battery is fully pushed in, and you can easily start the tool.
SOFT GRIP HANDLE
The handle has a soft finish, so it's comfortable to hold, even when you're using it for longer, and provides a secure grip no matter what the weather.
HANGING EYELET FOR EASY STORAGE
The BGA 60 can be easily hung up in the shed or garage, thanks to the eyelet in the handle
VARIABLE BLOWING FORCE TRIGGER
You can regulate the power of the BGA 60 thanks to the variable blowing force trigger, saving energy and extending the run time of the battery.
BOOST MODE
For those tough clearing tasks, Boost mode allows for higher power, meaning you can clear heavier debris more easily.
PROTECTIVE METAL RING AROUND THE NOZZLE
The robust metal ring around the nozzle prevents wear when the tube encounters obstacles or the ground.
FAQs
Question: WHAT BATTERY DOES IT USE?
A: The blower is powered by an interchangeable 36V Lithium-Ion battery.
Question: ARE THE BATTERIES INTERCHANGEABLE?
A: Yes, all the tools in the AK System use the same style of battery. There are three different batteries in the range, which all have different capacities. For the BGA 60, we recommend the AK 30 S battery, and it is designed to be perfectly balanced with this battery. We don't recommend using the AK 10 or AK 20 as the BGA 60 won't run for as long with this smaller battery.
Question: WHAT, SHOULD I WEAR WHEN USING THIS BLOWER?
A: We recommend that you wear snug-fitting clothes, goggles, gloves and sturdy boots or shoes, and tie back long hair.
Tips
#1 CLEANING YOUR BGA 60
When you have finished using the blower, remove the battery and clean using a damp cloth or soft brush.
#2 STORING YOUR BGA 60
Store your BGA 60 in a clean and dry area and always keep out of the reach of children. You can hang it on a hook using the eyelet in the handle.
#3 USING YOUR BGA 60
It takes more power to blow away damp leaves than dry leaves, so it will take you longer to clear a smaller area of wet leaves. If you can, wait until a dry day to clear your garden to make the most of your battery.
#4 CLEARING LEAVES WITH YOUR BGA 60
Instead of just blowing the leaves around the garden, blow them into a corner to keep them contained and make it easier to collect them up.
#5 LOOKING AFTER YOUR BATTERY
Don't use a damp or wet battery in your BGA 60 and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).
