Compatible with the tools in the STIHL AK System, the AK 20 is a lightweight 36 V lithium-ion battery. It features a charge level indicator on the top with four LEDs, so you can see how much charge you have left quickly and easily, at the touch of a button. This is the recommended battery for the MSA 120 C-BQ chain saw and the BGA 57 blower and has been designed to balance perfectly with these tools.

Question: What tools can I use this battery in?
A: This battery will fit in any of the tools in the AK System. However, it is the recommended battery for the MSA 120 C-BQ and the BGA 57.
Question: How long does it take to charge?
A: To fully charge an AK 20 battery using the AL 101 charger takes 150 minutes, but you can charge it up to 80% in 105 minutes.
Question: Can I charge it any quicker?
A: We make two fast chargers, the AL 300 and AL 500. The AL 300 charger will charge this battery to full capacity in 55 minutes.
Tips
#1 Looking after your battery
Don't use a damp or wet battery in your tools and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).
#2 Storing your battery
Take your battery out of the tool you have used it in and store it separately in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight and ideally in some packaging, such as cardboard, to protect it, at a temperature between -10°C and 50°C. Don't forget to keep it out of reach of children.
