Built with a compact, lightweight design, the HSA 40 is the ideal tool for small yards. The laser-cut, diamond-group double-sided blades offer optimal maneuverability and clean
cuts.

The STIHL HSA 40 battery hedge trimmer impresses with its low weight and quiet operation for hedge trimming and garden maintenance in residential settingsThe ergonomic designbalance and compact construction make work easy. This set includes the HSA 40 cordless hedge trimmer with 2 STIHL AS 2 lithium-ion batteries and the STIHL AL 1 standard charger as standard.

Thanks to the 2 replaceable batteries, the STIHL HSA 40 offers a high level of flexibility for hedge and shrub maintenance. This means that even larger jobs can be carried out quickly and without charging breaks. The electric engine, intelligent battery power management and laser-cut, diamond-ground and hardened blades ensure high cutting performance. The two-hand control allows simple and convenient operation of the HSA 40. Start by simultaneously pressing the switches on the loop handle and the rear handle. It is equipped with soft grip surfaces that support excellent grip in every working direction. The STIHL HSA 40 has a screw-on tip protector to protect the cutting blades from damage when working close to the ground or coming into contact with walls. The practical carrying ring on the rear handle enables safe, space-saving storage.

The HSA 40 cordless hedge trimmer has a bar length of 50 cm.

Note: the AS 2 batteries are certified in accordance with protection class IPX4.

Question: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR WHEN USING THE HSA 40?

A: We recommend that you wear eye protection and sturdy boots or shoes. We also recommend that you tie back long hair.

Question: CAN YOU REPLACE THE BATTERY ON THE HSA 40?

Yes. we provide spare parts for at least ten years after we've stopped selling a product. We don't sell these directly online, but you can get replacement parts from any of our approved STIHL Dealers. Find your nearest one here: www.stihldealers.ca!


Question: WILL THE BLADES NEED SHARPENING?

A: Keeping the blades sharp will give a neat cut on whatever you are trimming. If you notice that the blades are getting jammed easily or the machine is struggling, the blades may need sharpening. Our approved STIHL Dealers can do this for you - find your nearest one here: www.stihldealers.ca!

Tips

#1 CLEANING YOUR HSA 40 

After using your HSA 40, we suggest spraying a little resin solvent onto the blades to remove sap or resin, protect them from corrosion and stop them getting stuck together.
