A: Yes, they are interchangeable with other tools in the AP System. They are not interchangeable with the AK System tools.

A: The MSA 220 C-BQ has a 3/8 picco saw chain, which gives a high cut quality with low vibration.

Question: Do I need to sharpen the chain?

A: Yes, a dull chain on your chainsaw can affect the performance of the machine, making it less efficient, so it's important to keep it sharp. This can be easily done for you at your nearest STIHL dealer, or you can do it yourself using a file and guide. 

Question: Can I replace the chain?

Question: What should I wear when using this chain saw?

A: We recommend that you wear chain saw safety pants, a STIHL helmet system, CSA approved shoes or boots, safety glasses and gloves, and remember to tie back long hair.

#1 Cleaning your MSA 220 C-BQ

When you have finished using your chain saw, remove the battery and wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Don't forget to wear gloves when doing any maintenance on the tool.

#2 Looking after your battery

Don't use a damp or wet battery in your MSA 220 C-BQ and avoid using them in extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold).

Store your MSA 220 C-BQ in a clean and dry area and keep out of the reach of children at all times.
